About Me

I am a multidisciplinary artist, arts administrator, and engagement professional highlighting the inspiring stories
that awaken a sense of wonder within us.

Hi, there! Thank you for taking the time to browse my portfolio.

I was hired in June 2024 to serve as Gatton Park’s first Director of Programs and Engagement. I’m looking forward to welcoming everyone into the park with diverse daily program offerings that create an enriching and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Prior to joining Gatton Park, I served as the Director of Youth Engagement and Volunteers for 8 years at the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning where I expanded award-winning programs into Title I schools and organized dozens of educational programs, impacting thousands of community members and children each year. Most recently, I worked as the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Carnegie Center where I spearheaded the Center’s branding and advertising campaigns as well as their signature literary arts event, Carnegie Classics. Originally from Florida and raised in Costa Rica, I’m a third culture kid who considers herself to be a proud Kentuckian. I graduated from Berea College with degrees in communication and peace and social justice studies. During my free time, you can find me traveling abroad, learning and teaching languages, painting watercolors as “Concinnity by Erica”, and cuddling with my 3 cats.
